For an old [68] Scottish RnR,C/W and RnB fan like myself, this is an absolute gem...I could listen to this stuff till the cows come home. This is HISTORY! Muchos, muchos gracias.

Subject: As far as we know
Domestic Radio programs prior to February 15, 1972 were not subject to Federal Copyright laws, so as far as we know, yes, it's public domain. Of course, in the crazy world of internet copyrights, the Johnny Cash estate could decide to make a spurious claim and get it removed. But it hasn't happened.

Excellent but I'm pretty certain this is from 1955. At the end they talk about the Overton Park Shell show being the next day and list off the performers. That show happened on August 5, 1955.

Subject: Transfixing
JC already has the voice and presence with his music . You can hear his fragile confidence in his requests while not playing . I thought he was supposed to be a crappy salesman . He's pretty damn good on radio . I like the deal from the Home Company for the awnings . Guaranteed to made it several degrees cooler in your home . In Memphis . In the summer . With no A/C . Several degrees . I'm sure quite a few where drinking lemonade during this long hot afternoon while listening to this . He plays three songs and MC's during his time . Not bad at all for the first time on radio .

Johnny! Singing songs and telling you where to go to get the stuff you need to fix up the house. Fantastic.
